Our History
Structural Concepts Inc. was Established in January 1986. Its headquarters are located at 1305 S. Roller Rd., Ocean, New Jersey. Structural as a general contractor offers expertise in new construction, general renovation and underground steam systems. prior to recent focus on the private industry, structural's twenty years of relevant past performance record is exemplary in the public contract sector working for the departments of the Army,Air Force, And Navy, US Postal service, GSA, HUD and NJ School Districts. Structural has never defaulted on a contract; It has never been asserted late completion liquidated damages on any project it undertook; OSHA has not charged it with any serious violations. Structural is certified and bonded to undertake State and federal government projects. Finally, Structural has received many letters of accommodation from project owners for its exemplary performance.
Project Management
Structural Concepts maintains a fully staffed home office with a state of the art network computer system, utilizing the latest versions of Primavera Project contract management and scheduling. This allows us to provide the ultimate project quality control while meeting strict project deadlines. We utilize web based Primavera Contract Manager to manage all of our projects. This is a multi-user, multi project, client/server database for controlling contract, communication, invoice for payment, submittals, contract time and budget. Via the internet Owners, Architects and Engineers can access contract database to review project status and communicate.
For project scheduling we use Primavera Contractor Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling. With Primavera Contractor we plan and control the project schedule, by planning each activity needed to complete the project, tracking project progress and determining how quickly it can be completed. During construction Owners, Architects and Engineers are provided two week look-ahead schedules in order to monitor progress.
Safety
The health and safety of all persons is of the highest priority and is not limited by the following. All sections of EM 385-1-1 shall be strictly adhered to. In addition, Structural Concepts Inc. has a written Hazard Communication Program intended to comply with OSHA standard 1926.59. SCI was honored as the USACE “Chief of Engineers 1998 Contractors Safe Performance Award.” SCI’s primary mission statement is based on the following statement; “we strive to do it right the first time and safely all the time”. Our track record indicates adherence to these principals and we look forward to improvement while implementing and completing this project for USACE.
